Whew, big update!

Wednesday, May 16th, 2007

I actually have a couple of updates today, and I can honestly say I’m sick of coding pages right now, which is why my plan to make a new layout flew right out the window. A few people had asked about when I was going to post the rest of Happily Ever After Doesn’t Exist, and the answer to that is today. I put the story back up. I think I’ve finally admitted defeat as far as editing that story goes, so it’s back up and just ignore any typos you happen to find.

I also posted Chapters Fifteen and Sixteen of Starlight. Zac and Presley finally have their first tutoring session, but I’m not sure that it’s going to be what you were expecting. I promise there will be more to it them later, but right now the pressing issue in Presley’s mind is Keegan, so there’s some more about that too. I don’t think Presley exploded the way everyone might have expected her to, but I think she’s still in shock, so there might be a delayed reaction to the news. We’ll see.

Yesterday, I added Chapter Three of Bridge Builders in case you missed that. And, if you head over to JSOR, there is a new set of “books” up for reading, which includes Trash and Disillusioned, so if you should feel so inclined, feel free to discuss them. I’m taking a stab at reading the other seven stories on the list. So far I’ve read 3 of them. Technically, 4, but I need to reread before I review. I also updated my reading list. It’s broken down by what I’m currently reading, what I’m planning to read, what I have read and what I’m looking forward to reading. smile

Thank you to Hayley, Mel, Gabby, Becca, Dawn, Kristin, and Miranda for signing the guestbook. I hope you enjoy the updates and let me know what you think! smile

3 days. Wow. It’s kind of like the old days, huh? Old days = 2002 circa. Anyway, I’ve been working hard on writing. I love it when I don’t have to fight with myself to write and it just comes naturally, which is what seems to be going on with me lately.

Saturday I reworked my outline for Distorted Blessings, and as of now there will be 45 chapters + Epilogue. Originally, there were 50 chapters. I didn’t cut out anything though. I just combined some of the chapters, and I actually added some stuff, so don’t worry, you’re still getting the whole stuff. And at the rate I’m going, I think I’ll be able to meet my mid-October goal of finishing Distorted Blessings.

Anyway, I’ve posted Chapter 32 of Distorted Blessings. It’s on the rather sad and depressing side. It wasn’t a whole lot of fun to write. sad But I wrote it all in one day, which for me is quite the accomplishment. I like weekends when I don’t have anything to do. I have the freedom to just write, which was what I did all day yesterday.

Also, I want to point out somethings I added to the menu bar. I added links to the stories I’m currently working on, which at the moment only amounts to two stories – Disillusioned and Distorted Blessings. Disillusioned will be finished soon. It’s my job to write the Epilogue, and I suck and haven’t worked on it yet, which I’m sure is driving Taye insane. Also there’s the NaNoWriMo thing. I’ve decided to try something new this time and let you guys give me some challenges for the story, so go check that out! Give me some good challenges. smile

Anyway, I’m going to close with saying thanks to everyone who signed the guestbook. I got an amazing amount of feedback on the last chapter, and I really appreciate it. It makes me feel like I’m doing a good job – even if you don’t like how the chapters turn out. wink So again, thanks to those who signed the guestbook, and also to Becca and Nikki. Becca is gracious enough to not only read the chapters once but twice when I need someone to edit for me. And Nikki is always kind enough to give me her honest opinion when I’m feeling a little uncertain. I just wanted to throw my appreciation out there in case I don’t say it enough!

Anyway, let me know what you think of Chapter 32! I’m going to try to start 33 tonight! *crosses fingers*

Editor Plugs

These awesome people have taken on the role as editors for my stories. Some edit them all, and some edit just one or two, but I appreciate each and every one of them for their help, and to show my appreciation, they're getting a permanent plug. So thank you, Amy, Becca, Katrina, Kayla, Lauren, Mel, Nikki, and Taye.
