I’m just going to preface this update with the warning that I’m uber hyper because I’ll be seeing Twilight in less than nine hours. I cannot even express how excited I am. Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve pretty much been consumed by this fandom for the last year or so. I know that Becca is most likely praying for the return of my sanity. I suspect she doesn’t fully appreciate the greatness of Edward Cullen.

But anyway, I do come bearing some updates. First, Chapter Three of Absolution has been posted. I’ve been meaning to update all week, but I really got caught up in trying to write. Good news, though! I hit 50,000 words last night. I actually surprised myself because I didn’t think it was going to happen so soon. I guess that now gives me time to flail and fangirl over Twilight for a couple of days before I get back to finishing the story. I have about seven or eight chapters left to go. I’ve been flip flopping over the idea of changing or taking out a part, so we’ll see what happens there. And I thank Rosie and Renee for signing the guestbook, and even if you don’t sign the guestbook and are giving the story a change, thank you!

Okay, I have updates, and this time it actually includes some fiction!

First, there’s a new layout called Disturbia. It’s for my NaNoWriMo story and it features Carter and Ellie. Also, the Prologue and Chapter One of Absolution have been posted. Thanks so much to Becca for editing it so quickly. Like I mentioned before, it isn’t Hanfic, but since a few people showed some interest, I figured I’d go ahead and post it.

Secondly, I have yet another new hostee. Please welcome Kristy. With Heather moving over and letting her domain expire, she needed a new home, and I’m more than happy to have her!

Also, the domain is being really slow and stupid at the moment. I’m not sure what the problem is, but I’ve put in a ticket and hopefully the issue will be resolved soon. You can find the link to Absolution on the sidebar, and I’ll add it to the fiction section as soon as WordPress decides to cooperate with me. I hope you guys will give Absolution a chance and will let me know what you think.

Oh my gosh! I am alive! It’s a been a while. I’ve been rather busy over the last few weeks. I started a new job, and I’m still adjusting to that. I’ve been having a bit of a hard time with mustering up enough self-discipline to write much. I have been working on Solace. I just don’t have anything finished yet. I did redo strangeandbeautiful.org a few weeks ago, so check that out. The site is best viewed in Firefox. For some reason IE just didn’t want to cooperate with the layout. You can see some of the chapter stats posted over there.

Honestly, though, I can’t say how soon the next update for Solace will be. I’ve decided to do NaNoWriMo this year. I really only put my foot down and decided a little over a week ago, but now I’m really excited about it and I’ve been doing a lot of planning. The story is called Absolution. It’s a dramatic thriller with a touch of mystery and a little horror, so as far as the genre goes, it’s really something different, but the biggest difference about this story has to be that I’m not doing a Hanfic this year. I’m a little nervous about it because I feel a bit rusty on the original fiction front, but I think it’s time. I will still post the story online if anyone is interested in reading it, so I’d really appreciate it if you’d drop me a comment in the guestbook and let me know!

Also, to Jen, I read your comment in the guestbook about reading Beautiful Disaster. I’m still in the process of editing and recoding the chapters, and I already know I won’t get that finished until after November, so in the meantime, I’ve posted all of the chapters in pdf format in case anyone else feels like reading it.
