Before your application can be approved, you need to read these conditions carefully and make sure that you both understand and agree to what’s written here before I can grant you hosting.
Terms & Conditions
01. You must have AIM or access to email on a regular basis. I want to be able to contact you at all times.
02. You must have some HTML knowledge. It doesn’t have to be anything too advanced – just as long as you can update it and it looks decent. [And please don't ask me to teach you HTML because I really don't have the time for that. A question from time to time is fine, but I'm not putting your site together for you. And please DO NOT ask me to make a layout for you.]
03. You must be currently running on a freehost site or, alternatively, you’re about to lose a current host.
04. You must have a site online (hosted elsewhere or on a freehost) in order for me to see what you can do. Especially since this is for fiction hosting. I want to be able to read something before I accept.
05. You must be least 17 years old.
06. You must link back to aloneinthepretense.org from your main index (or splash) page.
07. You must update at LEAST once a month (unless we have a prior agreement). I’m not going to host a dead site. Regularly, in my opinion is at least once or twice a month, but I know with fiction, updates can’t always be made, but at least give some sign that you’re alive and haven’t fallen off the face of the earth, even if that just means to make a quick update saying as much.
08. You must make regular back-ups of your site/databases. I am not responsible for the recovery of lost data.
09. Please be respectful of the other hostees.
10. Please do not upload pictures that you are not using or hotlink. Use a freeserver for that.
11. Do not upload any illegal material such as mp3s and please NO psds. They take up too much space. NO porn. I don’t want to see naked people on my site, thankyouverymuch. However, I will host adult fiction sites.
12. You have one month to get your site up and running. If it’s not up within the alotted amount of time, and you haven’t contacted me with a reason, your account will be deleted.
13. Please explain your reasons for applying for hosting at aloneinthepretense.org in the box that says “Comments, questions, etc,” and after you explain, please add the words “shaping the scars” to show me that you’ve read the rules!
14. If you don’t fill out the form completely, I will automatically turn down your application, so make sure you’ve read the rules thoroughly and fill out the form accordingly.

What I consider a dead site?
Any site that hasn’t been updated for any extended amount of time without a good reason, so you’re hosted and for some reason you can’t update your site, just give me a quick email to let me know what’s up. Otherwise, your site might be deleted.

I always endeavour to warn people, you must take note that failure at any time to adhere to these rules will result in the immediate deletion of your site without notice. If you find these reasonable, then go ahead and complete the application form!
